Concept art for a hypothetical Brinemarch zine. Whether anti-colonial themes carry through the design remains to be seen. Into the Brinemark is the working title as using “Mark of the Odd” was the original plan. Cairn 2e is also a consideration. The ambition now is RPG “system agnostic”.

3. Human habitability circa 14000 means the Pleistocene glaciation never happened or that simply Antarctica somehow was spared? Something important needs to happen WRT this.

1. I'd rather not default to a magic system or form of ordering magic without really establishing the fundamentals of societies in your setting. Magic is just capital W Work in a non-work shape.

System agnostic hexcrawl is already kinda oxymoronic in this case because hexcrawls are typically used with systems meant precisely to despoil and Otherize whatever is in them. That's not even getting into the history of Antarctica which features their own native peoples which would be interacted...

My thought for the #ttrpg setting is that the magic and knowledge of the land would belong to the setting itself and is not something that can be extracted without creating anomalies, aberrations, and monstrous consequences.
