lord knows it's not like I was under the illusion that my favorite AAA games are produced 100% ethically or anything, but man. it's still discouraging to see CEO after CEO drinking the genAI kool-aid right now and then getting pissy when ppl are rightfully upset about it.

Like I'm fascinating with the Larian thing mostly because I'm sure Vincke genuinely believed he and his team are using AI 'responsibly' - they're not releasing AI slop, everything released is "done by artists", etc. There's simply no interrogation with the philosophy the tool represents.
