I truly don't understand anyone who begrudges Soto for taking the most $. He's played for 3 teams in 7 years. He has no loyalty to the Yankees. He bet on himself and won huge. He earned every penny and deserves this. Stop simping for Billionaires.

Joe Douglas deserves way more criticism for the Jets' current dumpster fire. I'm glad he drafted some good fantasy football players but the coaching was horrendous, he drafted a historically bad QB and kept that QB as the backup in an all-in season. And that doesn't even touch Becton

This is exactly right. Elon fooled lots of people into thinking that his acquisition of Twitter was about protecting free speech—it was always about reengineering a public square into a reactionary echo chamber. Which is why he’s flirting with running the same play again with MSNBC.

Notably absent from the story is any evidence that Woody did anything to impede Douglas from 2019-23. Who decided to keep Zach as the QB2 in 23? Who decided to draft Zach in the first place? Who drafted Becton over Whirfs? Since JD is obviously the source here, curious why he never mentioned that.

The Jets haven't made the playoffs since 10. The reality is even worse than that sounds. They haven't been watchable since 15. Not 1 season where they were playing meaningful games in December since 15. Even if they made the playoffs in 15, they'd still be tied for longest NFL playoff drought.
