So sick of the DNC and all its minions sending text messages begging for cash DAILY that I don’t even look at them anymore. Hey DNC: text me and your texts are reported as spam (in face ALL texts from another area code are reported; I don’t care who you are anymore). Sick of the 1/2 dozen/day.

The correct way to connect the authoritarian presence in LA and the Big Beautiful Bill is that the bill gives the government the resources to do this in dozens of cities at once. So if you don't like what's happening in LA, it's coming to your town if the bill passes.

This generally sums up most of the current party establishment’s mindset when it comes to engaging the online base.
The Democratic Party learned one lesson from the Howard Dean campaign in 2004, how to raise money online- perfected it with Obama four years later, and has been milking the same million-ish donors ever since. Outside of money, they don’t want anything from their base other than for them to shut up.
What is really messed up is that none of the emails that went out after Booker’s speech asking for money from Dem/progressive donors asked them to engage by coming out to the #handsoff rally. Booker & other Dem electeds continue to treat their online base as ATMs and it’s an ugly look.
