A properly and compassionately run city would take the vision and drive Rice has and help build upon it. He has an incredible idea and city and county leadership just dismiss him as a crank because they view the unhoused as a nuisance stunting property values rather than members of our community.
The former televangelist continues to have a way with the bully pulpit, but his methods of trying to help people are out of fashion in a data-driven age.

I am still shocked by the degree that casual racism has been completely normalized in the US. I shouldn't be after the last 10 years, yet I am.

It's truly remarkable how there will be news organizations and journalists who correctly identify that RFK is a menace and that HHS can't e trusted when he pushes stuff about vaccines or Tylenol causing autism... but cover the anti-trans stuff like "Well, HHS says so, and we should trust HHS!"

Under Beck, Missouri Dems have been on their heels and got railroaded with zero fight back. He doesn't have a spine for the fight coming. So great that he's back as leader in time for the GOP to bury the state by killing the income tax. More fun at the end of the empire.
