I generally tend to think Trump has a reasonably strong survival instinct. Which pushes towards the view he will back down (and claim victory) vis a vis CAN, MEX.

But I also wouldn't bet the farm on anyone's predictions of what Trump will do (including mine).
If there’s a shred of rationality left in Trump and his cronies, they are expecting CAN and MEX to provide concessions by Tuesday so he can declare victory and walk back. Or else, he is completely crazy. Take your pick.

What the hell just happened w/ tariffs? Trump put Mexico tariffs on hold after Sheinbaum promised to send 10K troops to crack down on fentanyl; FYI Mexican military has >400K members. Realistically, I think the bully backed down when his target wouldn’t roll over.

Let’s see what happens w/ Canada.
