That's exactly what I'm thinking. There's a slight more risk involved but AFAIK, the interest on uninvested cash in a S&S is higher than a cash ISA anyway!

I think the int% is higher in my S&S than my cash! I think there's less protection though as it's not a bank.

Question: if they reduce the cash ISA limit to ยฃ12K a year, surely if you were nervous about investing you could just hold ยฃ20K a year as uninvested cash in a stocks & shares ISA?
