Agreed. A Brompton or Moulton makes much more sense.

If loaded then the lower height of the luggage could help the CoG a tiny bit. It's all largely marginal though.
For me it misses an advantage of small wheels which is the opportunity for a lower step over height.
Oh and it looks a bit ungainly too.
gazza-d.bsky.social
Bromptons and moultons have the advantage of a low step over unlike that. Just a no from me.
gazza-d.bsky.social
Yes we absolutely do. And we need to work together to do that and not scrap each over over the scraps

Peeps.
Let's not get into arguments between people on foot and cycling.
Yes some are nobs, but divide and conquer is exactly what the drivist lot want.
The problem is the shitty infra that non car users have to deal with. We should be allies not enemies.

What cycle lane? I see a crappy murderstrip which looks to be more level than the footway.
I'd use it as a reason to take the lane and give him a very wide berth.

Looks quite nice, but *mutter mutter* Moulton would be better.

Seriously, a revamped lowish cost F frame Moulton would be smashing.

£1900 for an Alfine 8 equipped level though. A TSR with same hub is only an extra £200. And has full suspension too.

Droughts and floods, which have been exacerbated by climate breakdown, have created a deficit in wheat production in the UK of over 7 million tonnes.

Folk at the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit (ECIU) have calculated that this is enough wheat to bake more than 4 billion loaves of bread.

One year’s worth of bread lost in UK to wrecked harvests since 2020

Worsening droughts and floods have destroyed wheat for 4bn loaves of bread and forced record levels of imports.

Kill it now, and prosecute any companies stealing and using materials without permission.

Obvious things (which I expect you've done) is check for anything dangling and catching the spokes.

I would check spoke tension next as it sounds like loose spokes moving and rubbing slightly as you move forward.

“You described Reform and other parties across Europe today as among the 'right wing equivalents of the fascists in the 1930s'. Why?”

“Because that’s what they are”

I blame the twats with woodburners and cars the size of houses

As autumn relentlessly drags on towards winter, and the days shorten, the land rises up slightly to try and hang on to the last of the warm sunshine, making the hills a tad steeper in the process.
The reverse happens in late spring.
It's like the tides really, but on a more epic scale.

He's crossed over.
I always knew he was at least curious. There is no going back now

Probably going to be a sync energy charger.
Solar and battery compatible as well as octopus go and other smart tariffs.
The quote is likely to be approx £750 from a cramlington company called 0800rewire. Hopefully next week.
gazza-d.bsky.social
Looks like mine will be straightforward and as early as next week.

The article explains it better than the headline.
The locals don't want it because it may attract teenagers who may be anti-social and be loud or drink.
Which is awful anyway because where are they supposed to go?
It's NIMBYism at it's very worst.
gazza-d.bsky.social
I'll let you know.
I'm wanting Solar/battery too, and it is one thing I'll be asking about. I'll see what they offer.

That's a fun trick, but only when you're about to hand the little buggers back. bags of Haribo work too. So I am told
