Let's be clear: this is the result of deliberate political choices to make accessing trans healthcare substantially impossible. It's what Streeting and his ilk want.

In Glasgow, there is a 224-year waiting list for gender clinic appointments.

224 YEARS.

This is institutionalised discrimination. It's unacceptable, it's ruining people's lives and it needs to change.

We have the solution. Time for politicians to act.

Gender Clinic Files: Some people in Scotland will never get a gender clinic appointment on a 224-year waitlist.

This system is failing to support people to transition not because it is broken, but by design. The frustrating thing is that this would not be a difficult problem to solve under a different political paradigm.

Trans+ people do not need to be assessed by gender clinics or diagnosed by psychiatrists to tell us what we already know: we are trans. The healthcare we need, especially when it comes to hormones, is already available to cis people through making an appointment with their GP.

Gender clinics are unnecessary and exist to segregate healthcare for Trans+ people. Abolishing this system and providing Trans+ healthcare in primary care, at the GP through an informed consent model, would solve many of the issues this data reveals. GPs already prescribe hormones to cis adults. Trans+ adults simply need the same access to this healthcare.

We did a shared household build of the big DnD kit last year and it was lovely but that's more polycule activities than inviting folks over.

For sure though, game devs will probably all be down for this.

Yeh I find Planet wants professional asset placement quality work just to feel like it's right, whereas Parkitect is a lot less intense about it and works for my brain regarding decorating etc.

It's definitely less Theme Park World tho. I don't know if anything is chasing that direction these days?

I love it overall though! It's a faithful extension of classic RCT in a way that I found Planet Coaster missed in it's fidelity focus.

Can't see any outcome from the moderate response to a violence peddlers violent death being anything more than a clear demonstration of both a total open fall of the Overton Window & also breeding more violence to come.

If this really was some left leaning angry person taking a chance, I get it. There's opportunities I'd take at this point. The oppression and fear twists people.

Personally I'm trying to channel my fear into finding the right places to support. Will see how that plays out.

I wanna see data on times that AI features were misclicked or enabled accidentally and immediately disabled and to compare that to the amount of people supposedly actually using ai.

For some reason it feels like the figures would be closer than expected.

I personally use it to describe things which don't change the rhythm of a challenge, but extend it in ways which challenge a resource either in game (eg. Ammo) or out of game (Real Time) away from established expectations.

I do however mostly agree with you, the point you're making is defo sound.

Talk to your studios about how they can help protect trans employees and maintain hiring standards that keep us safe and financially sound.

Hell, if you aren't in games & are in other spaces, have the same discussions. When we find safety we are so much more secure and passionate in our work. Duh.

Not that our work output is all that makes us have value, but in a working context, this is a genuine minefield for a significant portion of some of the most talented game developers that I have ever worked with.

Those of us who've made it tend to be EXTREMELY good thanks to survivorship bias...

The Lemkin Institute for the Prevention of Genocide has gone a step further than its previous Red Flag alert, by releasing a statement calling for the rescinding of the EHRC's accreditation for violating the Paris Principles.
