Well I meant a safety net more in the context of taking care of a generation where a lot of people didn't have kids in their later years.

Now I'm curious though - is it that women are getting more left wing, or that men are getting that much further right wing that it looks that way?

What kills me too is that nobody wants to talk about how maybe the reason birthrates are falling on a meta scale is that we don't actually *need* more people.

What we need is a social safety net, not more kids fighting for slivers of the pie who can't afford to take care of parents.
