The initiative would provide free blood tests for trans and non-binary people, along with HIV testing provided by The Terrance Higgins Trust.

I don't think we say it enough, but I'm fighting for my rights as a trans person IN THIS COUNTRY because despite its flaws, I love it.

I would fight for it if the time came and I'm currently applying to the RAF Reserves to do just that. I just want to do that as myself.

Deeply disingenuous article from the BBC that utterly fails to mention that Linehan's posts advocate for both harassing and assaulting trans people

Not only trans people, but women who don't conform to a 1940s idea of "female" have ACTUALLY been harassed and assaulted due to these kinds of comments

Translation:

"Reform & Tory Councils are looking to spend hundreds of thousands in Council Tax despite not having a legal precedent to do so."

Whether you agree with the judgment or not, from any perspective, this is wasteful. Also hypocritical of them to waste Council Tax on "virtue signalling."

Georgia is the Trans Officer for LGBT+ Labour and has stood up for the rights of trans people, despite the lack of action by the committee more generally. She was PPC for Witney in 2024, a constituency where she now runs a support group for local trans and non-binary people. She has also advocated for neurodiverse people and care leavers, groups she is also a part of.

The reported EHRC guidance flies in the face of international law and will cause a level of hate towards trans people not seen in decades.

It isn't too late for this party to regain the trust of the LGBT community. If reports are true Bridget Phillipson has no moral excuse to approve it.

The fact that the belief that trans people don't exist is protected by the Equality Act and not condemned by it is a betrayal of its purpose and years of medical proof.

It's led to the normalisation of transphobia as a "different viewpoint" and must stop.

LGBT+ Labour have said nothing about the appointment of Mary-Ann Stephenson or Bridget Phillipson ignoring the WEC and JCHR to do so.

It is blindingly clear that the current committee neither has the confidence of the trans community or deserve it.

We need change.
We demand an AGM.

•A data Subject Access Request to both LGBT+ Labour & Labour Party.

The choice of Ministers to constantly ignore their MPs is disturbing

Bridget Phillipson ignored concerns raised by both the WEC and JCHR to place an unqualified person with links to transphobic groups as Chair of the EHRC.

We needed to restore trust in the EHRC, not double down on hate.

It is legitimately sad to see how quickly the Secretary worked to remove Abe from the committee group chat and from our website.

20 minutes. He hasn't given us the constitution after asking 140 days ago, and it took him 20 minutes to reduce one of our best members to "vacant."

As of Today, the LGBT Labour National Committee is run by an entirely unelected group of individuals for the first time in its 50-year history.

Democracy has been abolished by the committee for the committee. Only three of us voted to keep it.

That match was an absolute war of attrition. Beautiful defending from Sweden throughout until the last minute when we brought it up from 2-0 to 2-2.

Ending with the single most stressful set of penalties I've ever witnessed, we WON! 🥳🥳

They're cowards. The repercussions of that have been devastating. They've allowed the government to remove our rights without challenge.

A friend of mine attempted suicide due to that. If they'd died, I would've wondered what more I could've done to get LGBT Labour to speak out.
