Rob Reiner started his career as the moral center of a hateful world. His life and work carried that spirit for generations. Losing him now, in such a violent way—as authoritarianism tightens its grip, oligarchs consolidate their greed, and Hollywood gets stripped for parts—feels profoundly unjust.

A few points here:
- Over 300,000 jobs on average were created each month of Biden Presidency
- In the last 3 months of his Presidency the average was 203,000
- Only 64,000 jobs were created last month, and the unemployment rate has risen from 4 to 4.6 under Trump

This Trump thing ain't working.
Are we in a recession?

Perhaps. Maybe. Hard to tell.

The Sahm Rule focuses on the 3-month average unemployment rate, and asking if it's risen half a point above its year-long low.

The low was 4.0% in January.

The latest (average of Sept & Nov, with Oct missing): 4.5%.

That's +0.5%.

Under Trump:
- The economy has slowed, heading towards recession now
- Inflation is rising, most things cost more
- His cutting of energy subsidies is driving up utility prices
- He's taken 100s of billions from health care/food assistance in a war on working people
- He's making measles great again

We have to start connecting Trump's clear decline/daily confusion to the ongoing, serious harm he's doing to our economy/national security. It is possible he's so demented he doesn't understand that he's making Russia and China great again/weakening the US? Is it really all about greed/self-dealing?

Regulations are not the enemy of innovation. In many cases they encourage it.

Regulations are the enemy of reckless greed.

Unregulated AI will have a catastrophic effect on the working class.
Trump has signed an Executive Order attempting to ban states and localities from regulating AI.

It comes after Big Tech announced a $100 million lobbying blitz.

This is dystopian horror. Innocent people literally got a stamp on a card at random to let them know if they would live or if they would starve to death.

Not because the world lacks resources—but because its stricken with greed. All this blood is on the hands of Trump, Musk, & feckless Republicans.
NEW: Without USAID funding to help buy food for refugees, the World Food Program rushed to prioritize families based on need, determining that only half the population would get food.

Refugees learned which half they were in from a number stamped on the back of their ration card.

Monetizing dysfunction. Yes!

Airports/TSA aren’t the only examples.

Corp greed example:
Theme Parks
You pay a huge price per ticket but bc they allow so many to enter, you can’t enjoy the park bc way too long lines, so the Park says, here, you can pay more to skip the long line.
Infuriating!
