If Trump is serious about tariffs on movies, it's a very dangerous escalation. Tariffs have not traditionally been applied to services, and the United States is a massive net exporter of services. We would be extremely vulnerable to any service-based retaliation.
Trump says movies produced outside the U.S. are a national security threat. So he’s imposing a 100% tariff on all movies that are “produced in foreign lands.”

If you wanted to cut waste, fraud, and abuse, you would empower the inspectors general.

If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

Special Government Employees (SGE) like … Elon Musk.

He can only serve 130 days in any 365 day period.

He must submit his OGE 450 form immediately to ensure he has no conflicts of interest.

He must undergo ethics training, which is repeated each year he serves.

At OPM, Musk’s staffers won’t leave—they work around the clock and have even installed sofa beds in the office. Our access to data systems has been restricted, raising serious concerns about cybersecurity and a complete lack of oversight. We are keeping our heads down and documenting everything.

I can’t do it, I just can’t watch PBS News Hour. I can’t put myself in situations where I might see him. Photos are bad enough, but the thought of actually seeing it move or worse still speak, is more than I can cope with. Oh America, what have you done. 😣

I feel like there’s not enough attention being paid to the fact that Trump’s trillion dollar funding freeze was an attempt to do McCarthyism via Presidential fiat, & in the name of combatting a phantom force identified solely by a vague propaganda term the right only started using about 5 years ago.

I love this so much!

At the inauguration, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wore a distinctive collar adorned with cowrie shells, which are believed to offer protection from evil in African traditions.

This choice mirrors the late Justice Ginsburg’s practice of using collars to convey a message.

Posting anything on social media about today’s events in DC feels like trivializing their significance.

I yearn for hope but my faith in humanity is severely bruised. I fear that there are difficult decisions ahead. Where do we draw the line? What consequences are we prepared to accept?
