After WW1 Germany was forced to pay severe reparations. Germans trying to rebuild were outraged. Adolf gave them a voice. Elected by angry citizens, he easily found scapegoats. Concentration Camps followed. People disappeared. Resisters paid for speaking out. The Third Reich began.

It seems, these days people carry out their disagreements with others through acts of violence. The behavior in this country has become more aggressive and hostile in general. Seems now only two polar opposites are left, and everyone must pick a side. Aren’t there any sane people left? 🤔

Why do ICE agents need guns, if a majority of detainees are non violent offenders? Just wondering. 🤔

I live just south of LA. People are allowed to voice their anger about the ICE raids, but aggression shouldn’t be a part of it. Some protesters take advantage of the mayhem and loot and vandalize property. Others attack local police, even though they are displeased with the Feds. What a madness!

I immigrated using the legal path, but not everyone does. Listen to the reasons why they fled their home country. Just arresting people and sending them back is the wrong approach. How about helping to solve the problem that made them leave in the first place. Just my humble opinion.

Two German citizens with valid visas have been arrested at the Mexico/US border and put in the immigration detention center. One stayed for 14 days and was finally flown out chained in handcuffs shackles. Not even tourists are off limits now. www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/g...

Watching the disagreement playing out on live tv is not healthy for my blood pressure. Instead of behaving like a statesman, good ol‘ face-o-orange threw a temper tantrum. Sure made quite an impression on foreign leaders. 🙄

Seems in Canada someone filed a petition to revoke Elon Musks Canadian citizenship. Already got enough votes to be debated in their House of Commons. 👍

Took me 24 years to figure out I can vote by mail in German elections, even if I don‘t live in Germany anymore. Requested a mail ballot for the Feb 23 election, and just received it today. Guess I can’t vote this year either. 😠 The AfD got way to popular, and it was really important to vote.

Just read in German news a group of Danish citizens collect signatures for a petition to buy California from the US. Reasoning, if Trump buys Greenland, they can buy California. So far 200,000 signatures were collected.

After listening to the Elon Musk interview with Weidel from the right wing AfD, and politicians from the “friends of orange face” fan club, the new phrase is “common sense”. Just say, you don’t bother to explain something. Quite irritating! 😠

Maybe Elon was so overwhelmed by his humbleness, he decided to salute the crowd in front of him by raising a hand?He says, it was not a Sieg Heil, but if you run a right wing tending social media app, and give fascists the opportunity to spread their hate, he still does not understand history.
