do you know that we had to wear a uniform featuring red socks to designate our age group? yup, & when attending formal events, we had to wear navy blue, corduroy *knickers* with knee-high red socks. we were 13 years old.

our feathered friends are desperately trying to source food. the ground has been encased in frozen snow & ice, leaving little to no access. flocks of larger #bird species have come & are devouring their food. it's bitter cold. off to buy more seed & suet...also, corn cobs...

Finally, let us count the Cardinals in our own baby-now-grown-up clan living in our yard. #birds #nature #tinyjoys May peace fill your hearts & soothe your weary bones. 3/3

the #birds in the yard have gone quite mad since there's no way for the greckles to source food either. i went out to give them a chance at the feeder.
