To add on the RAM thing, unless Intel steps up their game (lol, lmao) there won't be sensible consumer GPUs either. Everything Nvidia and AMD designed lately are insane cards to run AI models which make zero sense for consumers

The mirror image of this for video games is that a lot of them just cannot be fully bought. You can't just buy an Assassin's Creed for €60. You have to pay €150 for the version with all dozen DLCs, and even then you'll be getting in-game ads for the in-game lootbox shop that you pay real money in.
