Do we even have definitely good data on fatal police shootings in the US? I thought there wasn't really a mandatory reporting system, so some places may be killing more people than we realize.

Yup. The police shootings data doesn't even include some of the largest police agencies in the US -- city and county agencies that are bigger than the entire military of some countries

Not sure about the 80% number. Hitler won roughly 35% of the vote iirc, and protesting under Hitler became much more dangerous than it is to protest Trump currently. It's tricky getting authentic approval data once a regime is sufficiently authoritarian.

I think these "US protestors are soft, look at what they're doing in ______" posts (especially by people in the US) only serve to demoralize and demotivate the movement.
