They'll buy this at pennies on the dollar but I'm not sure how much of an appetite there is for student loans that have an uncertain political future-- in particular at the end of the timeline it's not a done deal that they'll be able to garnish social security benefits.

Religious trauma sucks shit and it makes it hard to think about anything else when religion comes up as a topic. Respecting boundaries about this isn't something I see frequently, and it's usually religious people crossing the boundaries of atheists.

There is a somewhat famous case of an abolitionist attending the rally for his own lynch mob and being like "man fuck that guy" and then revealing himself and said "jk, I think you guys are gonna try to kill me" and the mob leaders were embarrassed and were like "uhhh no we weren't.
