Just read: “the silent patient” by Alex Michaelidis. I made the terrible mistake of approaching the ending of this book at night, so I had to stay up finishing it and I was too terrified to sleep afterwards. It’s the tragedy of the “Alcesti” made psychological thriller. I loved it so much.

This was in my inbox but unfortunately it was about a special issue, not an invitation to the ice castle of Arandelle

Just read: Octavia E. Butler’s trilogy “Lilith’s Brood”. I never read sci-fi but I feel this is so deeply about what it means to be human, and whether it’s worth to stay human

Asked ChatGPT how it thinks I look like and that’s the answer…

That’s because I use it for python codes and we all know women don’t code, so I must be a man

For those who are nerds about the Catholic Church, but also those who simply want to enjoy a good movie:

I'm just getting on the 2016 trend and that's me getting my PhD... I was in my prime here, about to move from the U.S. to Germany just before the first Trump's election. I had a lot of hope and my brain was functioning really well

What's wrong with AI?

Many people criticize Artificial Intelligence for various reasons.

Something I want to discuss here, is that AI lacks diversity and can be biased. It reproduces the idea of the tech people behind it - mostly white american men.

Today it snowed, which isn’t very common here. At the park, a group of adult men and women, speaking a language that might have been from Indonesia, were laughing making snowmen and snowballs. I had the feeling it was the first time seeing snow for them and I felt the world can be a magical place.

Why is Mary dressed in blue?

Blue was considered a symbol of purity and associated with positive characteristics, but also, was a "women" color.

Red and pink were mostly considered a "men" color. Only in the 1900s the color code became pink for girls and blue for boys.

In places like Italy and Spain it is custom to add characters from the popular tradition, celebrities and even... people like the "caganer"

What's interesting is how religious and non-religious figures come together in a century-old tradition

What do you think this figurine is doing?

Yes... he's doing what you think. He's the "caganer" from Catalunya, Spain.

Let's talk about presepe, a nativity scene depicting the birth of Jesus that is common in many Catholic homes.

This is a religious depiction, but characters can get VERY strange. For example...

Just read: Helen Oyeyemi, Parasols against the Axe. I’m not going to lie, I didn’t get the point of the book. But it captivated me. I ended it wanting to know more but I was also a bit frustrated from the lack of explanations… I love however that one of the characters is the city of Prague
