“The crisis isn't coming. It's here. And Trump's ByteDance suspension is simply making visible what should have been obvious all along: the transformation of presidential power from constitutional executive to elected autocrat is already underway.”

I don’t think anyone was surprised he would shill 💩coins, or that people would actually buy them, and be left holding the bags. I just think people were hoping none of this would happen.

They all understand how oligarchies work. If you’re not at the table, you’re on the menu. 🤷‍♂️

This article is not wrong, but if (and as) bluesky grows, it will become more diversified.

That’s why there’s only two types of coins; bitcoin and 💩coin (ether, hawktuah, sol, etc.) …one is $100K, and the others are scams or well-intentioned projects built on shaky grounds.

"police-made crack"
From 1988–1990, Broward County Sheriff’s Office manufactured crack because they say they couldn't seize enough for stings. Deputies sold crack near schools to get buyers mandatory min. sentences of 3 years. ~2,600 were convicted.

If prosecutor Harold F. Pryor weren't Black, would we even know this?
Florida prosecutor seeks to clear records of people charged with buying police-made crack in 1980s
A Florida prosecutor says he will seek to vacate as many as 2,600 convictions of people who bought crack cocaine manufactured by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office between 1988 and 1990.

I doubt it’s just the business schools, but academia is tough. Competition is hard, and job security non-existent if you don’t have tenure. So you cheat. It makes me think of that chapter in Freakonomics: Sumo Wrestlers and Teachers — what they have in common is cheating. 🤷‍♂️
Business schools are in the grips of a scandal that threatens to undermine their most influential research—and the credibility of an entire field, @engber.bsky.social writes: theatln.tc/pqwFD3GT

Buddha found in Heligö, Sweden, at an excavation site dating around 800 CE. The Buddha itself was thought to have been created in Pakistan around 500-600 CE. Things like this are fascinating because people back then travelled more and farther than we think they did. Source: Suresh Kumar

this is hilarious …but also probably inflated, as bluesky is minuscule.
Chinese state media is concerned by the exodus of X users to Bluesky. "State outlets, which put considerable resources into amassing millions of followers on X — including by buying ads, deploying bots, & hiring influencers — have recently seen their growth plateau." www.semafor.com/article/11/2...

Vivek and Elon got sent to the gulag by Trump. No cabinet jobs, no influence …political Siberia. 🤣
DOGE, the commission led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy “will be an advisory body, one without the practical authority or enforcement ability to enact the lofty goals it has so far put forth,” @lorakelley.bsky.social explains in the Atlantic Daily:
What Can DOGE Do?
Its leaders have lots of lofty plans and little power to implement them.
