Guiron is an herbivorous Kaiju from Planet X, in 1969 a large bull was used by Xilien scientists to fight off Gamera while they attempted to kidnap human children for study, by the end Gamera slayed the kaiju and rescued the kids involved, giving her the title of ”friend to all children”

This scene takes place in Germany during the Early Jurassic, around 180 million years ago.

In my excitement for Prehistoric Planet: Ice Age, I’m looking back at the Pleistocene palaeoart that influenced me most as a kid. This megalania (Varanus priscus) by Peter Trusler is one such piece, bringing this most incredible of lizards to life so vividly that it almost feels like a photograph!
