There's a touch of the Liz Truss about Kemi Badenoch. Both in the tax cut paid for by fantasy figures and also a belief there's This One Special Trick The British State Doesn't Want You To Know About! that will somehow solve everything.
Be rude to some civil servants and the UK's problems vanish!

The world generated more electricity from renewable energy than coal for the first time ever, a new report finds. The United States is lagging behind.

Kemi Badenoch appears to be getting plaudits for a speech in which she breezily claimed to have found £47,000,000,000 in savings.

The inconvenient truth is that these numbers are nothing more than a fantasy.

This really is Liz Truss's party now.

Tories will abolish stamp duty to “revive the housing market”

First time buyers don’t pay it anyway (up to £300k) & the fact the average UK house price is 10x the average salary is the problem, not £5k stamp duty on a £300k house! And then there’s the £24bn lost tax revenue…

Totally deluded 🤦‍♀️

Sorry, but if you're saying those implausible and shallow Kemi Badenoch announcements constitute a good speech then you're part of the UK's political problem.

Same half-baked "tax cut good / international commitments bad" bearing no resemblance to well formed policy.

A house in Clacton bought with unknown finances, a Russian funded Welsh leader and now an investigation into the finances and tax affairs of one of Farage’s key ally.

The treachery and corruption is right in front of the media’s eyes and they do and say, NOTHING!

Let’s also remember that the ECHR has protected British people from abuses of power by its own government.

We must protect the ECHR, not leave it

When the Tories were last in office - according to international Human Rights Watch - UK was on course to make list of countries that abuse rather than protect human rights. Is it any wonder they want us to join Russia & Belarus as only European countries outside the ECHR

The historically volatile Texas grid was entirely stable this summer, despite extreme temperatures. Grid operators never once had to ask Texans to conserve energy or shut off their air conditioners.

Why? Solar & batteries. Want a stable grid? Try solar & batteries.
Solar and batteries had a record-setting, grid-stabilizing summer in…
Solar has set 17 power generation records in Texas so far this year, shoring up the grid alongside batteries as some gas plant developers step back.

Make no mistake.

The recent incursions in our skies are part of a pattern of growing threats.

It’s time to call it by its name.
This is hybrid warfare.

Europe must get the capacity to respond and protect our skies.

Work has begun.

Good morning Conservative conference... Can't stand to be a Kemi Conservative any more?

Join us.
A digital billboard mounted on a truck parked on a city street displays a political advertisement from the Liberal Democrats. The sign reads: “CAN’T STAND TO BE A KEMI CONSERVATIVE?” and includes excerpts from The Telegraph and The Guardian about Tory policies and internal disputes. The message at the bottom says, “Join us: LibDems.org.uk/join.”

Climate science is clear: emissions rates must peak in 2025 and go no higher.

But misinformation and wishful thinking push politicians – and crucial policy – off course.
MPs and public underestimate urgency of climate action, new UEA study reveals
Fewer than 15% of UK MPs knew emissions must peak by 2025, raising questions about climate communication

Our media lets us down badly :

Labours accomplishments - rarely mentioned

Nigel Farage’s house - dropped/ignored

Nathan Gill’s admission of working for Russia - zilch

Russia/Iran funding Reform/Farage - silence

Instead they spread lies on the Budget/MPs/anything to discredit Labour

Why????

Lab 57%
Grn* 13%
LD* 13%
Ref 7%
Con 4%
SNP* 1%
PC* 1%

Loss to pro-EU* = 28 pp
Loss to far right = 11 pp

People like Robert Jenrick and Nigel Farage are increasingly looking at people who are not white and suggesting that they can't be British.

That in itself is fundamentally un-British.
