The inconvenient truth is that these numbers are nothing more than a fantasy.

On this theme, a plug for my Citizens Advance proposal.

After 10 years of NI contributions, the state would give people the choice to take a year of their pension as a lump sum, in exchange for retiring a year later.
The value is circa £12k now.

The green economy is growing, emissions are falling & air quality is improving.

There is still an immense amount of work to do to tackle climate change, but the worst thing we could do is to give up.

The attack on a Synagogue in Manchester is an act of pure evil. Compounded by the fact today is Yom Kippur, one of the holiest days in the Jewish calendar.

I know people across Welwyn Hatfield will share my horror and want to offer their support to friends and neighbours in the Jewish community.

⚡️55% of our electricity came from renewables
⚡️70% of our electricity came from low-carbon sources (inc nuclear)

In one year:
🌬️Offshore wind energy grew 10%
☀️Solar energy grew 27%

Great to be in the hall for the Chancellor's speech in Liverpool.

Her central message was that this is a Labour government committed to extending opportunities for all young people.

Through the youth guarantee at home and an ambitious youth mobility deal with the European Union.

This would be good for young people, good for business and good for everyone who wants a closer UK/EU relationship.

Retrospectively changing the rights of people to stay in the UK isn't fair, isn't right and is certainly not the British way.
To Farage they are,"low skilled migrants."
To the majority of Brits, they are our friends and neighbours, working as teachers, carers and in small businesses.

Palestinian families are facing the horrors of famine and a daily fight to survive.
Israeli hostages have been made to suffer unimaginably by Hamas terrorists.

It is a dark time, but we must never lose the hope of securing an enduring peace. A peace that can only come with two states.
