Those of us who study authoritarian societies understand well how political violence gets used. The leaders' rhetoric stokes fear & division, while the state increasing violence suppression. Any act of violence against the state or its supporters becomes a justification for additional state violence

I just registered for my two tickets for Trumps parade on June 14th at america250.org. Wouldn’t it be great if so many of us did the same and then remembered we had plans to go to out No Kings Event instead?

What?!?! The EPA has drafted a plan to eliminate all pollution controls from coal and gas-fired power plants. The agency claims these plants “do not contribute significantly” to dangerous pollution or climate change, arguing their emissions are a small and declining share of global totals.
