I am rereading sections of it, might do it properly again because I am not sure I can proper 'relive' it with me rushing to read it & noting the tags gradually appearing with my mind stirring of where it would end. God what a hilarious miserable dark story. I love it.

but circumstances have it that they have their own reasons to not move from their factions if they're ill fitting for their roles & THAT IS FASCINATING TO PLAY WITH where they accept that & just want to be together but can't just escape for their own reasons ... THIS IS DELUSIONAL YELLS

there is this draw pull to me that s@ndst0rm is the least aut0b0t aut0b0t while 0ct@ne is the least d3c3ptic0n d3ceptic0n (at least in g1 cartoon & wings, I know idw1 changes that to have more grey stuff even if he is chill there too) that they could be on opposing on sides, been at peace there --

If the Deceptic0ns did NOT fumble, he would be PERFECT on their side as an asset. Similarly - 0ct@ne seems ill fitting over there! He shows kindness (even if it's manipulative with trypt1con, but unlike st@rscr3@m & red al3rt he shows concern that isn't performative cause trypt1babes isn't there)

Like... S@ndstorm in IDW1, has ISSUES. His descriptions in Marvel & Dreamwave? Heck even in the stupid mobile game - says about this darkness in him. IN G1 CARTOON HE HAD HIS HOME INVADED, TURNED INTO A WEAPON THAT BLEW UP PLANETS & IT WAS DESTROYED BY THE SAVIORS WHO WERE SUPPOSED TO SAVE IT.

so it creates a certain taboo that I feel that lower ranking soldiers that can possibly get punished for fraternizing with each other & the risk of being punished in a way I feel decepticon high command (or autobot higher ranking members) would not

idk that's just my delusions though...

so the the flavor of skyst@r for me vs. s@ndt@ne is ultimately like -- skyst@r broke it off because of irreconcilable differences despite their deep connection to each other (which is it's own unique flavor of fun) s@ndt@ne connected DESPITE those huge differences with acceptance...

so while bro@dside, astrotr@1n, bl1tzw1ng & spr1nger are fighting they're over here having the most crazy make out/interfacing session you ever witnessed before they retreat so you keep the taboo of 'they're on enemy factions but still attracted for some reason' with a longing for the war to end...

tbh even if you choose NOT to acknowledge JP G1 (it's hard for me to reconcile because JP G1 kinda pushes all the triple changers into the ditch & i loved those bastards, even if I love H3@dm@sters) you can choose to be delusional (like me) & say it's nothing that deep or personal like skyst@r --

also technically they get 2 episodes... 3 if you count the script in like the 1st episode of F1ve Faces of D@rkness. so there is a lot to analyze in a way other characters do not.

& you can be delusional like me & make up elaborate lines how their characterizations in other series make sense...

I think When The Check Clears made me feel bad & sick, that was the best parts.

you want it sweet, fluffy, & adorable? that's cool. you want it really gross and full of fucked implications? that's also good! do you want it to be a happy story where everyone sees it as adorable? GREAT! do you want it to be a fight against odds to a point it might be a tragedy? GRAND!

anyway what i appreciate about it is that it's so ridiculously gay, it's unexplained they're just friends out of nowhere & they have so much chemistry as friends (or lovers idc!!) then they NEVER DO IT AGAIN EXCEPT IN WINGS

i swear i went at this ship like a HEAT SEEKING MISSILE. WE HAVE DIFFERENT DELUSIONS, BUT I SWEAR THIS IS MY SHIT TOO ESPECIALLY WITH THAT ENDING. YOU DON'T KNOW HOW I HAD TO IMMEDIATELY WRITE THE RESPONSE AFTER READING THAT ENDING AND PAY OFF. IT WAS ABSOLUTE CINEMA.
