I got laid off today, with the rest of 18F.

18F was an elite federal software shop. We made gov't websites work better, more efficiently for the American people. We saved taxpayers from getting screwed over by contractors. And were fired for it.

We made this website to tell our story:

Yet more evidence emerges of US Russian collusion as Trump & Musk backed Romanian candidate is arrested as a Putin puppet with an arsenal $10m in cash and a ticket to Moscow. Oh yeah and a young DOGE agent is the grandson of an ex KGB spy. Never boring is it? 👇🏼

Im already hearing of local businesses that won’t export to EU / NI any longer. They’re small, but the effect of this multiplied across the economy is yet another blow to growth and competitiveness.

Part of the reason why many people have a problem with Kuenssberg. There is a clear line between interrogating a policy and actively playing defence for the Tories - a defence which she often ascribes to "viewers".

Well, it is then perfectly fair for viewers to say: Hang on! No, I don't think that!

Thoughts on m how we solve the housing problem:

We need more houses. So we need more builders. So we need more training.

But there aren't enough colleges, teachers or students. So we need immigration.

So we need to undo Brexit.

A word on the Allison Pearson free speech row, and what she describes as a ‘Kafkaesque’ threat to it. We asked her on @thenewsagents.bsky.social to discuss.
She said: ‘No. And if you get any aspect of the story wrong my lawyers will be watching.’

I’m dual British/Irish and I think the British side could learn a lot from the Irish.

The Irish embassy is always putting on events the general
public can join and mobilising its citizens to help forge alliances in member states, an army of one person embassies

British do nothing like it

Privatised Social Care has meant that they are making £45,000 per child in profit every year.

£45,000 stolen from every child in care, that you have to pay for, for the profits of billionaires who steal from orphans.

Privatisation needs to die.

Appalling. Remote controlled drones being used to hover over, look at, and then cynically shoot children ranks amongst the sickest cowardice ever.

Best not highlight who is doing it though, hey BBC?

Trump’s election in the US now exposes the geopolitical weakness of a Brexited UK.

We’ll enter an existential battle as to whether to roll in with Trump or the EU. Trying to navigate the middle ground is a fool’s errand.

We must choose the EU.
