I spoke with my aunt (her sister) & we think my mom just went off in her own direction with her recipe because my aunt made kapusta as a cabbage soup & didn't put sausage in it

He got more than that. But it was a really unique race in so many ways and I just don't think it's a pattern for other places.

I decided to start on the cheap/easily obtainable end in my search for a new substitute hand soap (there are some super expensive fancy hand soaps out there but not quite sure I'm ready to go there unless I must). I'm trying this. I'll report back after a couple of weeks.

This is why I root against the Patriots. Too many fans like this one. Why even bother doing this? Why don't you just cheer for your own team without being a shithead to fans of other teams? You really have to be a sad little person with no life to do this.

I would happily replace all closures on this coat to keep it, but need to find this particular kind; it does not have buttonholes. And I'd need to find a particular kind of clamp to put the closure on. This is what the hole looks like & the reverse of one of the rings looks like when attached

For once, I am actually seeking input! I have a beloved old raincoat with unusual closures—see pic. I lost one;I have no replacement. I've done a Google lens search but can't find anything for clothing (similar clasps are for jewelry). Do you know what these are called?

A few more northern lights pictures. This was a truly spectacular night--the lights covered the entire sky on all sides, and as you can see, we got quite a bit of red (which is uncommon).

Fyi, If this ever happens to you: at least if it is a Briggs & Riley bag, you can fix it yourself in seconds. I ordered a new zip pull. They fedexed it to me—it cost $10, including FedEx; I got two zip pulls. I got it this morning & had it on the bag in literally less than a minute.

I forgot that I had not yet posted my Northern light photos from last night. I lucked out and had another fantastic viewing. I didn't have a fancy camera this time and it was so cold I hated taking my mitten off to take a picture, but I got a few.
