Currently in the intermission of The Brutalist, and so far this is a cinematography dream. The most visually inspiring film I’ve seen since Dune 2.

Something fitting about all of this being relegated to being indoors. It feels so claustrophobic and also like a funeral

Watching these crusty old white men praise God for what he’s done with our “great nation” is making me gag 😷.

There’s no such thing as “too many books”—only not enough shelves, not enough time, and not enough space for the dream library with a sliding ladder. But let’s be honest… we’ll keep buying books anyway.

Jurassic Park is a Christmas movie.

Hear me out: three Wise People travel from a faraway land to witness a virgin birth. Which in this case just happens to be a velociraptor.

Boom. Christmas movie.

Libby & Hoopla is what got me back into reading. They’re such a resource for rediscovering the joy of reading. I read so much as a child/teen. Then it dwindled through college. Audiobooks brought me back. Now I’m back to reading physicals as well.
Hello friendos

Your librarian here with today's library tip

Check out both the Libby and Hoopla app. Both offer ebooks and e-audiobooks. You don't need a Kindle to use them, you can read or listen on your phone, computer, and are compatible with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Please, if you are able, support Independent bookshops.

They are the literary & social hubs of our high streets and communities.

Without their continued support, we simply wouldn't be around to publish .

Thank you.
