A tale of friendship, memory, travel and place, with a really engaging structure and storyline.

I loved Anna Chilvers’ strange and wonderful Tainted Love (and it’s fab cover). Can’t wait to see what she has cooked up next.
We are publishing and launching

Orca and Bird by Anna CHilvers at Hebden Bridge library on Wednesday 26th November at 7pm.

It would be lovely to see you there.

Good morning.

As we celebrated 20 years as a company yesterday

I spent 11 hours trying to validate my ID and that I was a real person to HM government & Companies House on their new app.

11 hours.

It doesn't bode well for national ID cards does it?

I just noticed we currently have a second-hand copy of "The Best of Myles", which I sometimes think might be my next favourite thing Flann ever did (apart from The Third Policeman of course). It doesn't turn up all that often. come and get it!

In these busiest shopping weeks of the year, with everyone under horrible pressure over money, job security etc, try to be nice to retail staff (who likely have unreasonable sales targets from HQ to make up for a lousy retail year). Far too many stressed customers will behave appallingly right now.
