When I was in high school, I read a lot of the banned books. Right now I am specifically thinking about The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinbeck and The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. These are some books to put on your reading list this year, if you haven't read them.

I just learned about Bystander Intervention Training. Please Google it in your area. It is a way to support your colleagues from being harassed by ICE. Now that the law protects no one, we must all do our part to stand for what is right. If the law prorects no one, it also doesn't protect you.

I just saw the NYT headline that said that the Gulf of Mexico is now the Gulf of America. SMH
I remember as a child wondering about these other countries in Central America and the Soviet Union-- how they seemed unsafe and unfree. Here we are- modern Americans, living an Orwellian reality.
