When I wrote my camps book, people sometimes had difficulty understanding how concentration-camp regimes were proud of what they were doing and wanted attention for it, even as they also hoped to keep many aspects secret and terrorize vulnerable classes. Anyway, this is what that looks like.

Many people never reflect on the fallibility of their political outlook in this way. Even when it comes to highly complex topics where well-informed experts disagree…many treat their political beliefs and preferences as self-evidently correct. They are what psychologists call “naive realists”
In politics, the truth is not self-evident. So why do we act as if it is?

A very important event that has been severely overlooked is the International Russian Conservative Forum which took place shortly before the Jade Helm disinformation campaign. All of the global right wing movements (MAGA, AfD, French RN, etc.) were born of this incubator.
