I'm wondering if we all need to download a copy of our Social Security statement from their website to have it as a backup for the day when DOGE inevitably crashes all their systems?

Okay, I cannot recommend 5calls.org enough. Enter your address and it will find all your reps (federal and state). AND give you a list of issues to call about AND which reps to call about each of them AND a little script for each, in case it's helpful. They have an app, too.
5 Calls
Spend 5 minutes. Make 5 calls. Make your voice heard.

President Trump's efforts to cut the federal workforce by 10% might not save as much money as hoped and could have unintended consequences. NPR explains why.

Attempting to learn Tunisian Crochet in the round with mixed results. I think I need to try it in wool yarn, this cotton is very unforgiving. #tunisiancrochet #Craftsky

Watching Charade with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant. This is still one of my favorite movie lines...

"Do we know each other?"
"Why, do you think we're going to? Because I already know an awful lot of people and until one of them dies I couldn't possibly meet anyone else."

Why should I pay for AI? If I wanted someone to pretend they knew something they didn't, give me incorrect information, and then refuse to admit they were wrong, I could just ask a question while being female on the internet.

Trollogarchy (noun): A system of governance in which a small group of wealthy individuals are empowered to provoke, frustrate, or "troll" opposing political or cultural factions, particularly liberals. This governance style prioritizes buffoonery and corruption over competence or consensus.

Another finished crafty Christmas gift, a button-flap jewelry pouch in Tunisian crochet. (I love how fast #tunisiancrochet works up, I can get a project like this done in an evening.)

Is it just me or are some books badly edited these days? I just finished one with several errors that should have been caught by an editor. (Greta instead of Gretna Green, 'warn' when they meant 'wan', and many more.) This was a major publisher release but felt like it was edited by autocorrect.

I learned this week that my city has a reciprocal agreement with the county across the river so you can get a library card from both. The Libby ebook limit for the city is 10 at a time, but it's 20 for the county, so I've just tripled my book borrowing power. 📚📚📚
