To give benefit of the doubt and as a game designer myself, I think he means he intends to use AI as a tool to help with the parts of development that benefit devs and DOESN’T replace them. Not every tool is automatically slop. Gen AI is bad but AI in general can be good with checks.

What he actually said in the article. I can only hope that is won’t actually take people’s jobs if used correctly. Not all AI tools are slop.

To give some BIG benefit of the doubt, this is what he actually said in the article. AI being used as a good development tool that ISN’T REPLACING PEOPLE can be a good thing. As long as it is used ethically. AI is not gonna be used for creative stuff here.

Saw a Masterworks screenshot lately that Flux Constructs were initially conceptualized to be these giant things that would frequently transform into different vehicles, giving the fight an unpredictable factor to it.
I understand why they didn't go for it considering this would be the gameplay.
