Breakdown of library cuts here in Massachusetts due to the decimation of IMLS shared by @librarychristi.bsky.social. The return on libraries is incredible, so we all know this isn't about efficiency: it's about destroying knowledge and access to information.

The point of holding people to account for, say, sharing details of an impending military attack in a group chat isn't just punitive. It's also to send a message — to other officials, to Americans and esp here to our allies — that we recognize it was a bad thing to do.

In Trump's first term, media orgs would credulously repeat Trump's claims to have saved jobs. Now they are credulously amplifying executive orders based on misleading premises that claim powers that Trump does not hold. Stop amplifying misinformation and aiding his attack on democracy!
