Don’t forget Kickstarter’s cut of $600

But, yea…some creators do amazingly well on Kickstarter. But there is a reason that even most successful Kickstarter Comics creators are still at comic shows, cons, etc.

It’s funny. I read The Library: A Fragile History by Pettegree & Der Weduwen a while back and one of the topics that came up throughout history was the library as a social status.

That could be for a country, city or person. Libraries and books have a long history of being “objects of wealth”

It's that time of year again...time to renew our @cbldf.bsky.social membership! Their work is more important than ever, and we (the royal we, not us specifically) are going to need them over the next year.

For so many people that experience is worth paying a couple of extra bucks over what Marvel or DC charges.

At least for us that has been the case.

So, if you are small indie publisher and you need to charge $10 for your comic, there are people who will buy it.
