I was recently around some youngish (early 20s?) dudes who were decrying the fact that women only like rich dudes; one good thing about having survived this long is that I get to dole out advice, so I will tell you all what I told them.

When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. Also, why are people acting like Elon works for the government? He doesn't have a real department, he hasn't been confirmed by the Senate...if this dude tried to fire me I would laugh in his face and show up the next day like nothing happened, because legally nothing did.

I think if you are a normal person of good conscience in the government right now, you should not resign, and you should not get fired, you should enthusiastically accept every assignment these fascists give you and spend every minute of your day fucking it up.
