A legendary cricketer, an excellent administrator, and a thorough gentleman.

Hugh Morris’ love for Glamorgan shone through in everything he did, and his impact on the Club and its people will be felt for generations.

Such very sad news. Supporting Glamorgan for half a century has had more downs than ups, but the 1990s (and early 2000s) were the exception - and Hugh Morris was at the heart of the magnificent 1993 Sunday League and 1997 County Championship triumphs. Rest well, and thanks for the memories.
Glamorgan County Cricket Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Glamorgan legend, trophy-winning captain and former CEO Hugh Morris MBE.

Our thoughts are with Hugh's family, friends and colleagues at this very difficult time.

Of course, it may bear a distinct resemblance to my advent last year (and the year before that, and the year before that …)

More time has passed between the start of the Clangers and now than between the start of WW1 and the Clangers.
The first episode of The Clangers was originally broadcast on this day in 1969.

Buckle up - because this now amounts to a direct and deliberate attack on our country and its cultural sovereignty. Which side our politicians take - Trump's or the BBC's - over the coming days and weeks will speak volumes about their patriotism.
Trump says he will sue BBC for at least $1bn over Panorama edit
The US president confirmed he intends to sue the broadcaster for at least $1bn over the Panorama edit of a 2021 speech.

Bai Yulu (Chn) just made a 145 against Wang Xinshong (Chn) in the International Championship.

The highest break by a woman, in any tournament, ever!

The previous best was (supposedly) 143 by Kelly Fisher (Eng) in 1994.
