The European Union has agreed to limit the free movement of Russian diplomats across the bloc over espionage concerns, as part of its 19th sanctions package.

Hungary — the last holdout — has dropped its veto.

This is a lie.

There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years.

But this is an outright lie. Pure fabrication. A fraud on the public.

Don't forget that 41 Tory MPs in the last government took Russian donations. That might account for media reticence to report on the Nathan Gill case.

We need to end the ridiculous status of public schools as being charities! What bloody charities are Eton, Harrow and Winchester etc. They are companies, pure and simple.

Am wondering if all of those suddenly deciding they’re against communities living “parallel lives” might reconsider their support of religious schools? Or indeed private ones?

It’s a sign of how far to the right British politics have been driven that the extremist idea of leaving the ECHR is now mainstream. The correct response by a journalist when a British politician says they want to leave the ECHR ought to be an incredulous: "Are you out of your tiny mind?"

If you can't see how this will end, then you're not paying attention (not least to what's going on on the other side of the Atlantic).

Deregulate, one of the key tenets of neoliberalist economic policy.
suzannebrown.bsky.social
That professor on #r4today at Pennsylvania University recommends the UK to "deregulate" to improve productivity. What he means is stripping workers' rights and reducing pay.

All while he's no doubt in a well paid, permanent post.

Bugger off mate.

15 UK banks ordered to snoop on state pensioners and other benefit claimants under DWP crackdown.

No court order needed. No right of appeal.

Banks will pass cost to other customers.

Those accused of fraud won't get legal advice. The making of another Post Office type scandal.

Having organised countless meetings & conferences in my life, I agree the misspelling of 'Britain' on a giveaway is unprofessional, but honestly, the Tory leader has just called for a UK ICE force to deport 150,000 humans annually w/o caring where. We've got bigger problems.

The ECHR is not a foreign court it’s there for all members to protect all its citizens from being stamped on by Westmonster governments.

So Jenrick saying he wants to

1. Sack any judges who make decisions he doesn't agree with

2. Interfere with operational policing decisions in a threatening way

Just as well he will never be a cabinet minister again then
