Today, I discovered that I confuse the hell out of everyone in my BSL class. I skipped a class a few weeks ago, and everyone was asking where I was. But they kept switching between a series of pronouns?

I feel quite euphoric about it. It is nice to be a confusing git.

For those saying it's because of the climate research: good hypothesis, but this isn't the reason. The fossil fuel and other extractive industries rely on geology departments, and these industries are a major employer of geology PhDs. Oil, coal, and gas subsidize many geo departments and societies.
