i understand DID tiktoks now, even though i found them confusing and invalidating early on. like i made an account for nix but the truth is that i usually just feel like myself when i post there, im using the avatar and name in the hopes that ill feel more separate from everyone else.

because of that cause & effect it is so easy to psych myself into thinking i'm just making it all up, playing both sides of the conversations in my head, etc. so in some way i feel pressured to emphasize differences, even if we share a lotta space in here

so like, that person doing "alter intros" where they all have different costumes and are putting on different voices is probably subjectively experiencing much or all of that process as one set of eyes, cus this shit is confusing and they want to disambiguate/legitimize their system

but also, like, someone needs to be the voice of reason and give the scoop to the people who thought they might have it and discarded the idea because its "too extreme," these people are entertainers and their presentation of their disorder is a partial fiction
