I am so pleased to see MOFs finally winning the #NobelPrize!! #ChemSky

I certainly have my fingers crossed for MOFs. I am sick of seeing it ignored, especially as they are now finding applications in the real world. It's clear they deserve it.

📢 Preprint: Cr(pyrazine)₃ - maybe the simplest MOF with potential voids known. Built from Cr(III) + radical pyrazine linkers, this perovskite analogue shows magnetic interactions rivaling the strongest known in inorganic materials, stabilizing order above RT.

As someone working at a Thai uni, that's sad to hear. But this seems to be an issue all around the world, increased phishing activity.

It's final exam week at the university. Naturally, that means the weather's really nice while we are stuck inside.

I can't believe that UK voters are falling for this. The UK's biggest problems are the cost of living and the poor economy, neither of which are driven by immigrants.

My favourite one is 'Oh, I just noticed you filled out form 17B, but for this you need form 17C'

There's no reason why form 17C even needs to exist but it does. Baffled by the bureaucracy you go and fill out the new form.

I still use it a little but here is much better with people looking to share and discuss the science they are doing.

Everywhere in ASEAN is challenging, but I would say that only Singapore is truly better than Thailand.

Well she's definitely Thai! Many Thai students are amazing, but within the country the facilities are what hold some back, not their brains.

I really like it too. It wasn't a critical success, perhaps b/c the ending was too happy?

But, I've never subscribed to the belief that movies with positive endings are somehow less good.

It's a movie that seeks to tell a story and it does it well.

After a morning of doing nothing the cat has settled down for her midday nap.

Sadly, I have to agree with this. Education research is, ironically, hard to understand.

Consequently, you have no idea what is being recommend to improve your teaching. The sector needs to make their findings accesible to a much wider audience.

And it's not that good for anything I actually want it to do. I also really feel that it hurts creativity and I see students struggling to come up with ideas of their own. It's really worrying.

On the way to teach first year chemistry. The university is looking fine.
