The IRS Direct File Program was a slam dunk for taxpayers. No ifs, ands, or buts.
It did not "give the IRS control over returns", it made it simpler for people to file taxes without paying a middle man.

Athletic saying the Marlins need to add payroll, Mets should be looking to shed Marte and/or McNeil. How about one or both of them with prospects other than Acuña for Sandy, anyone? Can more easily sign both Bregman and Alonso in that case, too.

Too many people in the world don't have a good sense of scale, particularly when it comes to millions, billions, etc.
When people assert that "nobody needs to be a billionaire", it's because a BILLION dollars is so, so much more than is needed to live, even lavishly. It's a thousand millions.
