In other words: Israel is complaining about something that is perfectly lawful (recognising Palestine) while doing something that is unlawful (recognising Somaliland). That’s contradictory, yes. And it doesn’t get less contradictory by pointing out that most country’s tend to be contradictory.

History repeating: in 1983, the Soviet Union shot down a Korean passenger plane. Then, 40 years ago, the Convention on International Civil Aviation, which happened to be exactly 40 years old itself, was amended to outlaw what had been obviously unlawful: attacks against civil aircraft.
