Rob Reiner's legacy of filmmaking speaks for itself. You know his work.

That he was also a mensch in the public sphere, that he embraced the concept of "tikkun olam" and social justice wholly, was the the metaphorical dollop of sour cream on the latke.

What a loss. May his memory be a blessing.

He's also responsible for raising all the money that paid for bringing Hollingsworth v. Perry & even more importantly Bostic v. Schaefer, which created the circuit split that forced SCOTUS to take on Obergefell v. Hodges. The role he played in American marriage equality cannot be overstated.
The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

All from his movies.

Every single congressional Democrat needs to be out there, right now, insisting that Pete Hegseth resign right now and announcing that he will be held accountable for committing war crimes.

If you do not demand accountability here and now, they will only become more emboldened.
Exclusive: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gave an order to “kill everybody” in the first strike on suspected drug boats in the Caribbean. After two men survived, the mission commander ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions, according to two sources.

It's jacket season, which means it's also "walk with both hands in your jacket's pockets and immediately have Madonna's Hung Up start running through your head because that's a shot in the music video" season.

The last of the High-Value Comics that are getting imaged (for now), but what a banger to go out on. An issue that not only brought back an icon after a decade out of comics but also raised significant continuity issues that wouldn't be addressed for thirteen years! Yes, it's all here!

Honestly the best part about working at the Library is that everybody is doing cool stuff and interacting with the collection in cool ways that heighten the collection's useability and functionality.

What better time than right after a big, decisive showing at the ballot box against a hugely unpopular party and president to give in on your supposedly principled fight without any sort of tangible gains.

Baseball is the best game because I can watch an old home movie and can just make out the unmistakable voice of Vin Scully in the background saying "-ls lead 10-0" and a double play "taking a base hit away from Tudor" and can pretty easily nail down the precise game+inning the video's being filmed.

I think an under discussed aspect of him trashing the East Wing is that it applies pressure on the board to approve whatever his shit design is bc the alternative would be leaving a gaping hole there instead.

Wild that Republicans ginned up more outrage over Cracker Barrel changing its logo than over an entire wing of the White House getting torn down, but of course then you must recall that they don't actually have any principles.
