That he was also a mensch in the public sphere, that he embraced the concept of "tikkun olam" and social justice wholly, was the the metaphorical dollop of sour cream on the latke.

Baseball is the best game because I can watch an old home movie and can just make out the unmistakable voice of Vin Scully in the background saying "-ls lead 10-0" and a double play "taking a base hit away from Tudor" and can pretty easily nail down the precise game+inning the video's being filmed.

I think an under discussed aspect of him trashing the East Wing is that it applies pressure on the board to approve whatever his shit design is bc the alternative would be leaving a gaping hole there instead.

Wild that Republicans ginned up more outrage over Cracker Barrel changing its logo than over an entire wing of the White House getting torn down, but of course then you must recall that they don't actually have any principles.
