realization: english is the language i *can* use to be more honest to myself because: 1- it doesn't have a lot of the baggage that, being the growing language, portuguese carries in my soul, *and* 2- it was the language that *i* decided to learn because i wanted to talk with computers better ☺️

eh, another one of those "don't everyone already do that?" moments that makes me realize, again, that no, actually, everyone don't already do that :)

yeeep.

that one coffee-buyer that occasionally changes their drink is, incredibly, two people.

and actually, the tired one with sunglasses and the smiley one with a backpack always get the same drink.
---
i am not faceblind per-se, but i need *focus* to deal with them. so, i label their drinks.

we did, then threw it all away.

hey, @roguelike.club just so you know, this mug is an almost constant presence on my daily "coffee-check-ins" with my sibling :) absolutely love it.
a picture of a coffee mug, with the background slightly out of focus.
on the mug it's printed "Don't [T]alk to me until i've [Q]affed my BROWN POTION".
it is a Roguelike Celebration mug.

on the backgroun, out of the view of a window, you can see blue sky, and a couple of pine trees.

The websites asking you to turn off your adblocker sound like forest spirits asking you to break the salt circle around your cabin.
You can trust these spirits, they're not going to steal your body! Come on!

the only people i have personally met that were *not* lost --at least when starting their programs-- were the ones doing MBAs on company money.

everyone else? yep. utterly lost.

by the time their programs where ending, it was 50/50.

excluding the ones that dropped...

spooky. that's the word i keep trying to remember that i want my october to get closer to and what i want to read more of that is not horror, not creepy, not jumpy, not gory.

it is *spooky*.

the liminal, the weird, the not quite what you thought.

/sigh in second-language-struggle

thank you.

a post reminded me that a graphic novel I read last year that I loved was hell phone by Benji Nate. good horror, unexpected art style for the genre, very spooky, liked it very much

:)

mine has been:
> out of bed 7:30: "nice, i'll have time to do the nice things today."
> just sent my daily check-in message at 10: "what happened with the time"
> seeing your post at 11: "what you mean it's 11 already"

/sigh

yeah, it most definitely isn't you.

but growth in active users is the principal valuing metric, as far as i am aware, and looking at how *vocal* some people have been recently, i can't dismiss that there's a lot of worry about it....
gureito.bsky.social
... don't want to say inflating engagement metrics, but i am really thinking that...
