I dont think its really an either/or thing- i think they can have Pikmin for babies and still make the main series on console if that makes sense. The kids who'd grow up with Pikmin as an eraly childhood brand would probably grow up to love the main games even more.

There's def a strong argument to be made that the Switch 2 is far from accessible for low income families and kids old enough to save money and buy their own, but for what I'm describing, preschool age kids dont buy media/games its their parents that do so.

I feel you on all accounts here, but in practicality people who say they were "raised on nintendo" or "raised on nickelodeon" or "raised on disney" even usually say it fondly.

So with all that said - here's my pitch.
Following up the Mario Face game, "Pikmin Peek-a-boo!" for babies.
Nature / child-friendly scenes where babies can both touch objects to hear sounds and touch the pikmin they see for fun animations and reactions.

People don't talk about this, but the animated shorts they made for Sonic Mania collectively have like, 100s of millions of views. IMO, one of recent SEGA's biggest accomplishments.

No spoken word - something small children can engage in. And look at that, Sonic is now more popular than ever.

The grim reality is this - there's nothing preventing a character like Skibidi Toilet or some other popular character on social media from dethroning characters like Mario from being the defacto kids characters.

Nintendo recognizes this and would be foolish not to invest in the kids.

It's easy for gamers / Gen-Z and Millennials / people who've been longtime fans of Nintendo to not understand, but when you take away the intrinsic nostalgia that's built in with Nintendo IP, you lose a lot of footing with little kids.

Between this, Princess Peach Showtime, and the way MK World's free roam was made (nothing that could make a baby frown or cry, accessible from the title screen with one parent button press) it makes me feel Nintendo is making a big investment in being accessible to a younger demographic than ever.

Pikmin being Nintendo's entry point into the early childhood market makes sense. The appeal of Pikmin (the IP, not the gameplay) is universal and can be understood by babies. They're funny little guys who run around.

This + the Mario Face game isn't a coincidence. They see Cocomelon as a threat.

If there’s an attack on the US or even an attempt on Trump himself with the mainstream narrative painting Iran as the culprit, don’t trust it. JD Vance is an Israel-approved politician. Sorry I just have to put this all out here bc I’m very concerned right now.

There’s a rapidly growing anti-war resistance in Israel right now calling for BB’s resignation. He still says hes not stopping the attack on Gaza. Anti-Israel sentiment in the US amongst conservatives is higher than ever, and Trump is publicly calling for a ceasefire.
It’s coming to a boiling point.
