Did u know?Leaves aren't the enemy. Don't blow them into infinity with noisy machines.Leave them in situ on your borders during the winter months. The worms will take them down into the ground to condition the soil & they'll provide shelter for countless small souls..Leafy gold🍂 🌍🪲🌱🌿🐙🪱

Every game should let you "pet the dog" but every game should have to come up with a new action that isn't pet and a new object that isn't dog. Can you feed the worms? Can you nuzzle the snakes? Can you wave at the shadows across the moor? Can you slurp the juice? Can you raise the sluice?

3) Buy for durability and utility, it's often significantly cheaper in the long run to buy fewer, higher quality items that handle substantially more wear and tear.

Rather than buying the flimsy, borderline disposable "cheap stuff" that will break, buy the stuff that'll outlive you.

It would be a great help to the planet if folks posting about the wonders of #nativeplants would include information about which bioregion of the world they are planting in. Remember, a "native plant" in one area can be an "invasive exotic weed species" in another! The devil is in the details. 🌎 🌿

1) Don't buy that
2) If you must buy that, there's probably a cheaper version of it that's just as good

I think we need a new sociology section: the Sociology of joy, pleasure, play, and other assorted interesting things that make life worth living. Feel free to edit. If the ship is sinking, I want to spend time reading and listening and thinking about what makes folks content and elated.
