making slow progress
it's looking like strange organic erosion at the moment, which i'm attributing to the diffusion step used to separate short and long wavelengths

since atm i'm only advecting high frequencies but computing flow rates from both it looks like new matter gets created each tick

replacing the default texture filtering in niagara with a custom bilinear filter that includes the pigment based color mixing from spectral.js

excitedly tried setting up some raymarching entirely within niagara using a grid2d collection, maybe I can use this on a swarm of particles to create fractals and otherwordly effects
