A pipe cleaner figure I built of Sadira, a playable character from the video game KILLER INSTINCT. Sadira is a Thai woman with yellow and red eyes, long hair, and blades on her wrists. She wears a burgundy hood, jewels, torn leggings, and a spider midriff. Web lines trail from her wrists. Her head and arms come off for AMPUTHEATRE combat, and she stands 3" (7.62 cm) high. A pipe cleaner figure I built of Thrush, a playable character in my tabletop fighting game AMPUTHEATRE. Thrush is a giant marsupial rat with mangy gray fur, a bald head, dark blue eyes, and fangs dripping with blood. She stands on her hind legs and a baby rat snarls from her pouch. Thrush's head and arms are removable for AMPUTHEATRE combat, and she can eat the baby for health if necessary. A pipe cleaner figure I built of a spider I call the Spiral Deathtrap. She has a brown abdomen and legs, a burgundy head, large piercing red eyes, and a white spiral pattern in her abdomen. Her forelegs are much longer than her hind legs. She stands 2" (5.08 cm) high with a 4" (10.16 cm) legspan.

Pen drawing that fills a page with large, unearthly looking shapes that intertwine with each other into a dense scene with shell like structures, large hollows almost with an insectoid eye cluster type appearance with the most prominent features being a mostly hidden skull on the left and right of center is a more prominent and visible humanoid skull. This skull is implied to be massive based on the figures standing in the eye sockets and the appearance that it is at the end of a trail while the skull and walkway is rising above out of twisted root like structures, fleshy sacks and other features. Standing out of these is an almost carved theatre style mask set in a frieze with an arch of skulls over it and seemingly supporting the trail.

As artists it can feel like there's a pressure to make art faster, more generic, and marketable for a wide audience. Generating art is that idea to an extreme. I think we need to embrace niche art that has thought and care put into it. Not just for clients, but making something only for yourself.
