I know I’m going to regret not taking my time and savoring the Crescent City series but I can’t stop myself 🫣 I started Earth and Blood just over three weeks ago and I just got to chapter five of Flame and Shadow! #MaasUniverse

Dipping my toes back into fantasy for book 12 of the year with House of Earth and Blood. The lore in this blows ACOTAR out of the water—so layered and immersive. app.thestorygraph.com/reviews/bdd9...

Book 11 of 2025 ✅
Nobody’s Girl by Barbara Amaya was raw, powerful, and deeply eye-opening. Her honesty, resilience, and the resources she shares at the end left a huge impact! app.thestorygraph.com/reviews/ae12...

Book 10 of the year! What the Dead Know by Barbara Butcher was raw, honest, and unforgettable. As someone interested in forensic pathology, I was hooked. Her 9/11 account especially hit hard. Heavy but worth it—true crime fans, don’t skip this one.

My Own Words is an important collection of RBG’s writings and speeches, but I stopped listening around part three. It’s a powerful resource, just not built for a straight read—especially in audio.

Book 9/24 done! A meticulously detailed look at Rodney Alcala, Stella Sands delivers a disturbing yet compelling narrative that honors the victims while outlining the full scope of his terror. Graphic but important.

Book 8 of 24 for 2025: The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner.
Loved the concept, but the split timeline left me wanting more from each story. Both deserved their own book! Still, beautiful writing & a memorable quote:
“The unknown… the opportunity in it.”

Just finished Black Dahlia Avenger by Steve Hodel—book 7 of my 24-book goal for 2025. A chilling true crime read that’s both emotionally raw and deeply investigative. Hodel lays out years of evidence while uncovering the truth about his own father. Haunting and unforgettable. #truecrime

Book six of 2025! This is a must read from Natalie Hayes called Stone Blind. This is a tale of power, entitlement, innocence, and the meaning of beauty. Haynes brings Medusa’s story to life in a way that feels raw and deeply relevant.

Our #socialsecurityadministration has been around since 1934. That’s 90+ years!

But it’s in need of reform, like many of our country’s other government-led agencies. Why?

For one, our benefits in comparison to other countries are lower. Below average to be specific.

Book Five of 2025: And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie

This was my first mystery read since The Boxcar Children, and wow, I was not disappointed. Agatha Christie’s title as the Queen of Mystery is well-earned, this book was everything I wanted from a classic whodunit.

Very easy ready that was 100% worth it! Whitmer’s first term was the first election I was old enough to vote for. I am so thankful that that memory will always be held with pride 💙
